Standard automatic winding filter

The standard automatic roll filter (also known as an automatic roll-up air filter) is a high-air-volume pre-filter installed at the front end of fresh air and air conditioning systems. As a primary-stage pre-protection device, it is widely used with cleanroom fresh air handling units and ventilation intake systems.

The unit uses rolled filter media and achieves fully automatic filter surface renewal via differential pressure sensing. Unlike traditional panel or bag filters, it eliminates frequent shutdowns and manual filter replacement, continuously and stably controlling system resistance, protecting downstream medium- and high-efficiency filters, and greatly reducing purification system maintenance workload.

Available in vertical standard models (mainstream) and horizontal models, it supports single-unit standalone installation or multi-unit parallel assembly, making it suitable for cleanroom fresh air, industrial ventilation, and large central air conditioning projects.

Winding filter 2orking Principle

1. A new filter media roll is installed in the upper feed box, with clean media laid flat across the entire ventilation cross-section.

2. As dust-laden air passes through the media, dust particles are effectively intercepted. As dust accumulation increases, the pressure differential across the filter gradually rises.

3. When the pressure differential reaches the preset final resistance, the differential pressure sensor sends a start signal to the PLC control cabinet.

4. The gear motor drives the lower take-up spool, rolling the dirty media downward into the lower collection box while simultaneously unfolding fresh clean media.

5. A photoelectric grating precisely controls the single feed length. After feeding is completed, the motor stops automatically; the pressure differential drops and the system returns to stable filtration.

6. A built-in media remaining monitor triggers an audible and visual alarm when the media is used up, reminding operators to replace the entire roll.

Standard automatic winding filter unit structure

Cadre:
Standard models use electrostatically powder-coated cold-rolled steel; aluminum profiles or 304 stainless steel are optional for high-humidity or corrosive conditions. The rigid structure supports on-site modular assembly.

Upper Feed Box + Lower Collection Box:
The upper box stores new filter media rolls, while the lower box securely collects contaminated media to reduce secondary dust dispersion.

Drive & Transmission System:
Consists of a gear motor, chain/belt drive, and tension adjustment mechanism, ensuring smooth media movement without deviation or wrinkling.

Média filtrant (gradient-density synthetic fiber cloth):
Standard configuration: G3/G4 primary-efficiency media; F5 medium-efficiency media optional. The gradient density design (loose front, dense back) enables deep dust holding and a gradual resistance rise.

Intelligent Control System:
Equipped with a micro differential pressure transmitter, PLC controller, photoelectric distance measurement module, and local audible/visual alarm, with a reserved remote passive alarm signal interface.
